Biography:
Dr. Mishika Malik is a board-certified neonatologist with expertise in the care of critically ill newborns and a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, and neonatal neurodevelopment. She practices at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where she provides care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and NICU Neurodevelopmental follow up clinic as part of a dedicated neonatal team.
Research Areas:
Neonatal Nutrition, NEC and Neurodevelopment Outcomes.
Dr. Mishika Malik has strong interest in breastfeeding and human milk use in the NICU.She also investigated the Klebsiella oxytoca's indole-related mechanisms and their implications for microbial behavior and entero-toxicity in cases of Necrotizing enterocolitis. Dr. Malik also have interest in long term Neurodevelopmental outcomes of NICU patients.
